Our History
From one nursery to five campuses
St. Hannah's School began in 1981 as a small nursery school on Kindaruma Road, Nairobi. What started as a humble early learning centre with a handful of children quickly earned a reputation for discipline, care and strong Christian values — and parents took notice.
Through the 1990s and 2000s the school expanded steadily, adding primary and junior school levels and opening new campuses to meet growing demand from Nairobi families. The school's commitment to academic excellence was validated in 2004 when a St. Hannah's candidate became the best in Kenya at KCPE with 472 marks out of 500 — later gaining admission to Stanford University.
Today, St. Hannah's occupies five campuses across Nairobi and Kiambu: Karen, Runda, Ngong Road, Kilimani, and the separate Boys and Girls High Schools in Karen. The school caters for children aged 18 months to 18 years, offering both the CBC and 8-4-4 national curricula.
Our Foundation
What guides everything we do
School Ethos
Rooted in Christian values
St. Hannah's is a Christian school. Faith is not an add-on — it is the foundation of every interaction, every lesson and every relationship on campus. Our ethos shapes not just what we teach, but how we teach and how we treat one another.
We uphold a praying culture, a caring attitude by staff towards learners, ongoing coaching of teachers, and partnership with parents in shaping and moulding each child. Every year, the school observes Environmental Day — reminding learners of their responsibility to the world around them.
Our Value Proposition
"High quality education at affordable rates — that is our promise to every family."
